Monterey Bay Aquarium

The Monterey Bay Aquarium with its mission to inspire conservation of the ocean is a major point of attraction of your Monterey and Carmel tour. You can observe the incredible wildlife scenes and discover the endless secrets of the magnificent ocean. The Monterey Bay Habitats exhibit delivers an immersive experience with species, like sharks, seahorses, penguins, as well as the astounding Kelp Forest filled with fish, marine plants and invertebrates (Did you know that 97 percent of all animals are invertebrates? Whale Watching

Seaside Sports

With knowledge of weather conditions and some basic techniques, stand up paddle boarding (or “sup” as it sometimes is referred to) is a fun activity for people of all ages and athletic abilities. You don’t have to be in a swim team to be able to do paddle boarding, but knowing basic water sports safety rules will make this experience both safe and full of thrill and excitement!

Push out into the bay on your very own kayak, another great outdoor activity to consider while visiting Monterey. This is the ultimate way to get unparalleled views of a wide range of California marine life.
